Privacy Policy

Munchies is made by mark3r (“we”). This policy explains what data we handle. Short version: the app does not collect or upload anything.
The Munchies app
- The app runs entirely on your Mac. It reads file names, sizes and dates only in the folders you choose, to show you what counts as junk.
- It never uploads your files, file names or folder contents anywhere. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking inside the app.
- Files you feed to a monster are moved to your Mac’s Trash. Nothing is deleted permanently by the app.
- Settings (your monsters, names, voices, stats) are stored locally in the app’s preferences on your Mac.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe shares with us what is needed to fulfil your order: your e-mail address, country, amount paid and payment status. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the data it processes: stripe.com/privacy.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we store your e-mail address and the time you joined in our database (Upstash Redis, hosted via Vercel). We use it only to tell you when Munchies launches, including early-access and launch-discount offers. To limit abuse we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 10 minutes. Every e-mail we send has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. We never sell or share the list.
We use your e-mail address to send your download link and receipt, and to answer support requests. We send it through our e-mail provider (Resend). We don’t send marketing e-mails unless you sign up for them, and we never sell your data.
Website
This website is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
How long we keep data
Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your e-mail from our support inbox at any time.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@munchies.app.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
